Known for its strength and durability, HOMOGENEOUS HETEROGENEOUS porcelain tile was manufactured with a more complicated process compared to other tiles. Soil is admixed with special minerals, such as quartz and ball clay, which facilitate forming process and enhance tile’s strength. After pressing and forming with more than 3,000 tons of weight, soil and mineral are combusted twice at 700ºC and 1250°C, respectively. Since general tiles are combusted only once, their strength and durability are significantly less than porcelain’s. Due to its firm texture, porcelain tile can barely bend after installation.
